Our skincare product lines feature Junmai-Shu skin whitening and skin moisturizing formula. Junmai-Shu is sake made only from polished rice, rice koji and water, i.e. truly pure rice essence, with no added alcohol and sugar. Sake is made by fermentation just like wine and beer, but it involves a more complex brewing process called multiple-parallel fermentation. The unique process yields rich nutrients, 19 amino acids, B vitamins, minerals and polysaccharides, which provides a smoother and whiter skin for the product users.

Since long time ago, Japan, called the Land of Abundant Rice, has been making sake from its beautiful, select, large-grain rice and its cold, clear, bubbling water. Sake is alive. The microscopic labor of its koji mould and yeast turn rice and water into alcohol. In its long history, sake has been the crystallization of the wisdom of the Japanese. It is carefully made not only with its unique multiple-parallel fermentation brewing process but also under the strict management with scrutinizing eyes and warm passionate hearts of the chief brewer (TOJI) and his workers (KURAHITO).

 

1.Rice polishing- Organic rice known as 'Yamada Nishiki' is used. The rice is polished by removing 60% of its original surface.

2. Rice steaming- The polished rice is rinsed, soaked and steamed

3. Koji making-'Koji' is made in a special room by a chief brewer called TOJI. His hands are brightened up by the rice benefits.

4. Moto making- Divine water sourced from Suzuka Heights is added into steamed rice, koji and yeast to create yeast starter called ‘Moto'

5. Fermentation- Truly pure rice essence enriched with amino acids and vitamins are created 

Junmai-Shu Brightens and Whitens Skin

It is a known fact that sake workers have fair and smooth hands. The beauty secret is Rice-Koji. Koji is a kind of mould enzyme which converts starch to sugar. It is used for making Sake (Japanese rice wine), Miso (soybean paste), Shoyu (soy sauce), etc. Rice-Koji is a natural, effective lightener (derived from rice) that helps to fade spots by retarding excessive melanin production. It works by blocking the formation of pigments by the cells in the deep layer of the skin.
